Inky Lines II - Celebrating Illustration & Printmaking

Coinciding with Dickens Festival week, New Kent Art Gallery & Studio (https://www.newkentart.com/) are hosting a fantastic group exhibition by local Kent printmakers and illustrators. "Inky Lines II - a celebration of illustrating and printmaking" will run from Tuesday 13th - Sunday 25th June 2017 at the New Kent Art Gallery in Albion Street, Broadstairs.

Much of Charles Dickens' work was accompanied by illustrative work and, throughout history, printmakers and illustrators have been producing works of art that please the eye. Although initially illustrations were not thought of as 'art', nowadays, many of the best known illustrators and printmakers have now become household names and their work is sought after by collectors. The exhibition will bring together many popular artists in one show that celebrates the very best of their work featuring local views and quirky subjects that should mean there is something for all tastes.

Prints by Andy Johnson, Hugh Ribbans, Ieuan Edwards, Beverley Johnson, Vicky Emptage

Illustrations by Hannah Clark, Sketchy Jamie, Jim McGarry, Dave Winthrop, Karen Hiscock-Lawrence, Mark Galloway and Fiona Osbaldstone
