Welcome to New Kent Art Gallery & Studio
In April 2024 Lynne Walton became the new curator of this beautiful gallery in the seaside town of Broadstairs. It has long been a well respected and much loved gallery space and over the years has developed an excellent reputation for fine art produced by artists based in and around Thanet.
The gallery now has an exciting line up of 7 artists who have joined forces to create a 'collective' of creatives that bring a fabulous variety of art to Broadstairs.
Lynne Walton will be joined by Karen King, Christine Jeffryes, Sian Morgan, Jo Oakley, Michele Papageorghiou, Nicky Browne and E J Laven.

What's new?
Our guest artist for December is Martin Cheek.
Martin initially founded the technique of incorporating glass fusions into his mosaics.
In doing so he essentially transformed the art and added unique textural interest to his work.
The intricately detailed glass fusions -all made by Martin in his workshop-take his mosaics to another dimension, adding varying degrees of refectivity and energy - something not easily obtaimed using traditional mosaic materials.
