Eve Stickler

Eve Stickler's work has evolved through the years since graduating in 1985, but she always looks to the activity of painting as her primary means of activity and her happy place.
All her work explores a personal jopyrney and a celebratory interpretation of places shapes & hues.
Eve is a colorist and understands that colour can trigger emotion -both as the painter and the viewer.

Heather Defferary

IMG_0509(2).HEIC

Heather returns to the gallery for the month of May with a gorgeous selection of landscape collages.

She was born in a part of the UK known as the 'Garden of England'- a place of orchards & pasture. Circumstances changed and she spent the rest of her young life 'out East' - total contrasts.

The colours smells & culture of the Far East had a great influence on her art.

Her body of work for this show largely features mixed media and collage studies of the landscapes near her home. Acrylic, ink and collage form layers of colour and pattern reminiscent of Clarice Cliff.

 John Laven

Landscape Painter

As a landscape painter, John sees his work in the tradition of European painting stretching back to the late 18th century romantics.

His focus is the force of nature imbued with anthropomorphic qualities of struggle and tension that exist at the frontiers and margins of a place. This is a place that exists both in real lived experience and in the imagination.
